Piatto

The most authentic Italian restaurant in Tulsa, OK

If your on the prowl for a fully authentic Italian meal... Look no further!  Piatto Cucina Italiana is Italian owned and operated. Lets not forget Marsha, she's American but she has an eye for fine dining and exemplary service.

With the great staff and Italian chefs, this place can't be beat. They have two authentic Italian's in the kitchen yelling at each other and giving funny looks. Surprisingly enough, they aren't really yelling at each other but trying to get the "Piatto's" made.  As for the funny looks, that's a whole other blog.

Being a food lover myself I would recommend this place to anyone.  The prices are worth the few extra dollars you'll pay. The plates are large, and extremely filling. Prepare to leave your belts in the car. When you come to Piatto, you eat like your in Italy. Not to mention that it is a coursed meal. Even during lunch.

Lets get to one of the best parts.  If you LOVE wine,                                                                            THIS  IS YOUR NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT!
With well over 50 different wines ranging from $30 a bottle to near $400 a bottle from all over the world. You've got your price brackets, and regional selections. Regardless of what your price range the friendly, and knowledgeable staff can select you a fantastic wine to go with your meal. So let go of the worry of not being able to afford an amazing meal. Piatto prides themselves on being affordable, and very worthwhile.  Their are many Italian places in Tulsa with good food, but not with the same passion put into everything like Piatto.

When I ate there for my first time I had the Gnocchi Al Asarde with a glass of Apothic Red.  It's a spicy dish with multi-colored peppers, spicy Italian sausage, and gnocchi (also known as a potato dumpling). The wine was a winemakers blend of a rich Zinfandel, flavorful Syrah, and a smooth Merlot from out of California.  My second time there I went for lunch, and ordered a pizza. It was the Piccante pizza with added mushrooms. It also is a spicy Piatto or "dish".  It has a large amount of meat, me being a younger man with a large appetite I ate the whole thing. AMAZING!!  Unfortunately I couldn't have a glass of wine so I had a nice Dr. Pepper to sip on.

If your excited to have a classy dinner, looking for an affordable lunch, or just want a glass of wine.
Stop by Piatto over at the new Tulsa Hills shopping center.
